Dr. John Lincoln is a research biochemist and consultant. He first became involved with LightAware as a trustee in 2015 and has been able to devote more time since retiring at the beginning of 2017.
Invited Keynote Speakers
Each session at PLDC is to be opened by an invited Keynote Speaker addressing all attendees of the convention. Keynote addresses are presentations from invited renowned lighting designers, architects, light artists, researchers, politicians, photographers or personalities from related fields.
The Steering Committee selects the Keynote Speakers according to market developments and trends, the latest research findings and/or exemplary lighting design or architecture.
Former Keynote Speakers include Howard Brandston, George Brainard, Davidson Norris, Chris Wilkinson, Alexander Rieck, Deborah Burnett, Philippe Rahm, Paul Marantz, James Carpenter, Kai-Uwe Bergman and Martin Lidegaard, who delighted the audience with their works and thoughts in the past four events.
Dr. Marco Bevolo earned his PhD on the role of design in generating urban futures and is currently a lecturer in at NHTV University of Applied Sciences. He is the founder of Marco Bevolo Consulting and has worked with the Municipality of Eindhoven, LightProjects, Lighting Design Collective and more.
Frank Boutté heads a team of twenty-five people from various backgrounds all trained in environmental issues, environment control, and comfort and sustainable development. The organisers are happy to announce the Keynote Speaker of Thursday morning.
The PLDC organisers are proud to present a further Keynote Speaker – Martin Bremer is Head of Design Strategy and Corporate Design at Mercedes-Benz, and has also been heading the Design beyond the Car project, which involves developing the car of the future.
