Prof. Michael F. Rohde completed his studies in Architecture at Karlsruhe University. After three years of practice as an architect he acquired a Master of Science degree at the Bartlett School of Architecture at UCL in London in “Light & Lighting”. Michael is now primarily occupied as an independent lighting designer and educator. In 1998, he founded L-Plan Lighting Design, an independent lighting design practice in Berlin. He has broad experience and expertise in the design of artificial lighting and daylight. In September 2006, Michael F. Rohde was appointed Professor of Architectural Lighting Design at the University of Applied Sciences in Wismar, Germany.
