John Lincoln began working as a research biochemist after gaining a BSc from Leeds University, followed by a PhD from Glasgow University. He then changed his career path gaining an MSc in Operational Research from Strathclyde University. He subsequently worked as an internal consultant in the National Health Service. Since 1990, John has worked in public sector performance audit, first with the Audit Commission in England and then with Audit Scotland. He has led national reviews in several areas including, public-sector asset management, social work and GP prescribing. John first became involved with LightAware as a trustee in 2015 and has been able to devote more time to the charity since retiring from Audit Scotland at the beginning of 2017.

Eleanor Levin is a former media professional who now works from home as a musician, songwriter and teacher.  She is a founder member of the LightAware Charity and will be contributing to the speech via video message.
