Dr. Karolina Zielinska-Dabkowska/PL/CH, designs-4-people
Dr. Karolina M. Zielinska-Dabkowska is a lighting designer, researcher and educator. As a trained architect, she pursued a career in lighting, working for several world-renowned lighting design firms in Berlin, London, New York, and Zürich. She has 15+ years of international experience in the completion of medium and large-scale interior and exterior design projects and in project management for clients from the corporate, institutional, retail, hospitality, and transportation sectors. In 2013 Karolina co-founded the firm designs-4-people [d4p], where she currently practises as a lighting designer.
She was the recipient of the Professional Lighting Design Recognition Award for Research in 2015, an award designed to recognise “an individual that has made a significant impact on the field of Architectural Lighting Design through her specific research topic”. She is also a professional member of the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) and the International Association of Lighting Designers (IALD).
Karolina also presents the paper “Creating a more conscious built environment for day- and night-time setting through interdisciplinary collaboration”
